Semeion is a band from Italy and was founded way back in 1994. The band started as a death doom band and after several line up changes the band moved to a new more complex sound.
With "Semeion9407" you have an EP in your hands with 5 tracks. Semeion is playing death metal with a technical touch and you have to think of Death (vocals) as it has some resemblences. But Semeion is playing more controlled chaotic as you are swinged from left to right and vice versa. A lot happens in the songs as you hear the vocals change its mood, the guitars go from accoustic to frenzy shredding and back to accoustic. Also the drums is playing different patterns in each tune.
With "Semeion9407" Semeion made a nice EP but the vocalist has to avoid sounding like Chuck to create an own identity.
