Whilst "Semeion 94.07" isn't a classic piece of Roman Death Metal handiwork from Italian outfit Semeion, it does have it's charms in abundance! Performing a grinding style of Technical Death Metal laced with intricate solos, peaceful accoustic interludes and even a touch of Latin here and there, Semeion have managed to produce a rather enjoyable EP, and whilst the production isn't top quality, It is plain to see that a lot of effort and sweat has gone into the making of "Semeion 94.07" ...

Now fourteen years into their tenure as a band, Semeion have a very clear design plan when it comes to their music, and all that time to practice and perfect their hard raw sound has paid dividend. On top of that, the bands creativity really does bear fruit, and the variance in sounds they blend into the mix whilst making "Semeion 94.07" really does them a lot of credit! Indeed as one track flows into the next you do find yourself enjoying what this band has to offer more and more. Things to note about this EP, the jack hammer like destructive qualities of ""Two Eyes", and the subtle change of style leaning towards a more graceful approach during "Masks", when compared to the usual stark harshness of the rest of this metal offering.

Semeion enjoy a really dark quality, endearing and with a twilight element about their play. "Semeion 94.07" is a culmination of many years hard work and perseverance, and well worth a listen or two.
